Ted's House

On Sunday we got to visit Ted Seth Jacob's house.  He taught Tim and Michelle, my teachers.  His house is unbelievable.  Every room is filled with his paintings.  The walls are covered with murals and trompe l'oile as well.  Even in his bathrooms, art and murals abound!  The beauty he has created is unimaginable.  Every surface is a canvas for Ted.  He even painted his refrigerator to look like bricks so it wouldn't stand out!  The entry way floor had a fishpond painted on it and end tables had postcards and matches artfully painted on them as well!  This man is not only a genius at painting the light, he is prolific as well!

A Weekend

Today as I took a walk around Argenton, I went by the lake.  Being a Saturday, the edge of the water was filled with fishermen.  I have never witnessed such a production.  They all had huge bags that carried light-weight pipes that attach to each other and then a fishing pole is added to the end.  There is a cross piece which they place behind themselves to pull the long pole back in on.  I don't understand the reasoning for this.  They don't cast the line out, they put it out on their huge poles!  One day I shall find the answer!  Quite interesting.
